KODEX, whose real name is Ismail Babatunde Akorede, was born in Abidjan within the Nigerian community of Côte d'Ivoire. He grew up between the popular communes of Adjamé and Abobo, neighborhoods where the streets forge character and where music becomes a refuge from an early age. Nurtured by Nigerian afrobeat and Ivorian sounds, Kodex develops a unique identity that he calls himself "Naija de Babi": an artist at the crossroads of cultures, between Lagos and Abidjan. Through his sincere melodies and authentic lyrics, he tells his journey, his dreams, and the reality of an entire Afro-urban youth seeking success.
